چکیده

Let m be a fixed positive integer. For any positive integer n, we define the arithmetical function am(n) as the integer part of the m-th root of n. That is, am(n) = [n 1 m ], where [x] denotes the greatest integer not exceeding to x. For example, a2(1) = 1, a2(2) = 1, a2(3) = 1, a2(4) = 2, a2(5) = 2, a2(6) = 2, a2(7) = 2, a2(8) = 2, a2(9) = 3, a2(10) = 3, · · · . In [1], Professor F. Smarandache asked us to study the properties of the sequences {ak(n)}. About this problem, Z. H. Li [2] studied its mean value properties, and given an interesting asymptotic formula: ∑

Distinguishing number and distinguishing index of natural and fractional powers of graphs

‎The distinguishing number (resp. index) $D(G)$ ($D'(G)$) of a graph $G$ is the least integer $d$‎ ‎such that $G$ has an vertex labeling (resp. edge labeling) with $d$ labels that is preserved only by a trivial‎ ‎automorphism‎. ‎For any $n in mathbb{N}$‎, ‎the $n$-subdivision of $G$ is a simple graph $G^{frac{1}{n}}$ which is constructed by replacing each edge of $G$ with a path of length $n$...

Computation of the q-th roots of circulant matrices

In this paper, we investigate the reduced form of circulant matrices and we show that the problem of computing the q-th roots of a nonsingular circulant matrix A can be reduced to that of computing the q-th roots of two half size matrices B - C and B + C.

Thermodynamics of Ion Association in the Saturated Solution of The Mixed Solvent (methanol+water) and Ion Pairing at 25.0°C

In this study, the ion association phenomenon in the saturated solution of KCl in the mixed solvent(methanol+water) was studied. The solubility of this compound in the mixed solvent (methanol+water by value percent of methanol = 60%), and in the presence of various molarities of NaNO3 wasdetermined by the solvent evaporation method at 25.0°C. The results enable us to estimate the valueof thermo...

Relationships between the Integer Conductor and K-th Root Functions

The conductor of a rational integer is the product of the primes which divide it. The lower k-th root is the largest k-th power divisor, and the upper k-th root is the smallest k-th power multiple. This paper examines the relationships between these arithmetic functions and their Dirichlet series. It is shown that the conductor is the limit of the upper k-th roots in two different ways as k ten...

On the Integer Part of the K-th Root of a Positive Integer

For any positive integer m, let a(m) denotes the integer part of the k-th root of m. That is, a(m) = [ m ] . In this paper, we study the asymptotic properties of σ−α(f(a(m))), where 0 < α ≤ 1 be a fixed real number, σ−α(n) = ∑ l|n 1 lα , f(x) be a polynomial with integer coefficients. An asymptotic formula is obtained.
